Opinion:
Firstly, kudos to the team behind the Heineken Light – Flip Your Meat commercial. What’s really better than a double entendre joke? A “gay” joke!! Looking at some of the comments around the web on this commercial, you would think Neil Patrick Harris actually flipped the man’s meat. And I’m not talking about the meat on the grill.

I often wonder just what the hell is wrong with some people. It’s television, its 30secs, It’s funny….. Actually, it’s pretty friggin hilarious and it’s just a commercial. It’s a known unknown in the barbecuing community that a man is never supposed to flip another man’s meat on the grill. It’s a pretty big no-no, unless specifically requested. Again a well established and known fact, so it’s delivery by a gay man makes it what? Not true, not funny? If Neil Patrick Harris never came out the closet and was just remembered for being Doogie Howser, M.D. and Barney Stinson aka the womanizer from How I Met Your Mother would that be better? If another man flips your meat, are you now gay? Or just a shitty grill master errr novice?
