Coaching Bad Trailer
ABOUT Coaching Bad
Good coaches motivate us, inspire us, and teach us the skills to win. However, there is a growing epidemic of coaches with uncontrollable anger issues spreading across today’s sports landscape. From Bobby Knight to Mike Rice, too many men and women coaching American athletes, of all ages, often cross the line in what is acceptable behavior on the sidelines or in the dugout. Spike TV has brought together NFL legend Ray Lewis and acclaimed anger management specialist and author Dr. Christian Conte to tackle bad coaching and anger management head on in the new original series, “Coaching Bad.”

My Take on Coaching Bad Trailer
Congrats to Big Bad Ray Lewis for having yet another show on television, it’s surely not enough that you’re an NFL analyst, superbowl champion and Hall of fame bound defensive beast, now you have to show your “gentler side” really? The irony of this show is remarkable. To have Mr high intensity speak in calm tones to these so-called “bad coaches” or just Coaching Bad individuals.
Now this show is what is a growing problem here in the USA. A pussification of kids, a continuing trend of coddling kids and wrapping them in bubble wrap. On one hand I get it, some coaches can go clearly over the top, when I was in highschool at The Lodge School, Barbados, Mac Fingall scared the shit outta me, standing 6ft 5 and always angry for some reason his PE classes were ummm interesting. I was great at football in primary school and I probably could have played in highschool, but the cussing out, random thumps to the chest and throwing people in the sand pit by Mr Fingall, I decided nah I have enough of that bullshit in Cadets. That said he did turn out some great athletes for Lodge so his techniques clearly worked.
Now personally I don’t mind a high intensity coach yelling at kids regardless of age to get them motivated, inspired and focused to perform on the field or court. The strong will survive, kids that cannot hack it, should not be there, simple. Most sports require some sort of drive, gusto, fire and desire, if this is not instilled in the players as well as focus and discipline why are they there? Just imagine a karate coach teaching high kicks without the verbal affirmation, shitttttt you might as well be auditioning for a cheerleader position. Now kids playing American Football or Baseball it’s real in the field, I wonder how many pro players when interviewed will say they had a nice soft-spoken coach. How many of these coddled kids will end up in the CFL or some budding UK League or for baseball the minors of worst. A coach going over the top sometimes is necessary.
Now I have not seen the show obviously, this opinion is just based on the trailer and a show more spoiler.
America please stop turning your kids into these little soft ass sissified children. when they loose no participation trophy, that is nonsense, winner win, looser loose that’s life.
