It’s One Bed Steve, The Dream Killer

The American Signature Furniture commercial initialed It’s One Bed Steve is one of my favorite television at the moment and it entertainments and lightweight disgust me at the same time. I say lightweight disgust me, but it’s more of a chuckle and the expression “really?” Now I do recognize the comedy aspect of it, but the way the lady in this commercial is just a damn dream killer, just shitting all over the moment is just ridiculous. But this seems to be a growing trend in commercials where the man is always undermined by his wife, whether it be the “who’s on the phone?” StateFarm Steve or the GNG commercial with the husband having to sneak around to turn the thermostat up like he doesn’t pay bills in the damn house too.

I mean is the man not the king of his castle? Can’t a man have a lighthearted almost romantic moment with his wife? Can the man not appreciate the new furniture purchase added to their home and share that with his loving wife?
Now if the paper work she was doing was sooooooo important wouldn’t she be in another room? Especially if she didn’t want to get disturbed? Would the commercial be a little funnier if she said “It’s One Bed, Steve, but I’ll be over to the pleasure side in a min *wink *wink”.

Ahh what do I know, it’s just a TV commercial.
