Sicario Official Trailer
What do you get when you put Benicio Del Toro & Josh Brolin in a movie together? A movie I want to see by all means. I’m not really a Emily Blunt fan, but she was decent in that travesty of film with Tom Cruise and the story does look fully focused on her experience in the film. This might end up being a “super chic hero cop” type movie where the heroine emerges triumphant, but I’ll risk it.
This looks full of gun play, head shots, double-crossing and hopefully not some emotional story from Emily Blunt that will require time to be reset if she messes up. The movie is categorized as Mystery/Crime rather than action, so I do suspect there will be some character development related drama.
Synopsis:
After rising through the ranks of her male-dominated profession, idealistic FBI agent Kate Macer (Emily Blunt) receives a top assignment. Recruited by mysterious government official Matt Graver (Josh Brolin), Kate joins a task force for the escalating war against drugs. Led by the intense and shadowy Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro), the team travels back-and-forth across the U.S.-Mexican border, using one cartel boss (Bernardo Saracino) to flush out a bigger one (Julio Cesar Cedillo).
