Spider-Man 2 Not Amazing
Spider-Man 2 Not Amazing
I Had the opportunity to see this movie recently, saw it at Studio Movie Grill, seats are really uncomfortable, but the servers are funny. Anyway I have to say, uhhh this movie The Amazing Spider Man 2, it was not that amazing. Guess I should say *Spoiler Alert*. The film was Okish but…. hmmmm ok maybe if I saw it in full IMAX 3D, it would have been better. Yes the visuals were kinda impressive, a lil too much of Spider-Man base jumping and web slinging around the city, it’s almost like they were trying to make The Amazing Spider-Man uhhhh (no homo) sexy? Then too much loooooong scenes with emotional touchy, feelie nonsense not enough action. Actually the most action came towards the end of the damn movie. It was the typical theme that seems to be a trend in movies nowadays, leave the action till the very end, introduce a new character to add hype for the next movie, then roll credits. The introduction of Rhino… great!!
Ok Jamie Foxx, dude is a beast, great character actor, awesome as Electro, here’s my question, ok I get he’s a nerdy engineer, but ummmm why does a black man have a comb over, with naps on the side, are you telling me you had all that budget to have close up shots of spider-man’s ass clenching, but your wardrobe department didn’t have enough of a budget to fix Jamie’s hair c’mon or maybe I missed something, since he messed with electricity he fried his hair a long time ago. Speaking of Electro ummmm why was his “doctor” wearing pink lipstick and did he have a black gimp/PA? What the hell was that about?
How the hell did Gwen Stacy die, did the fall and last min web grab snap her spine? What the hell happened there? Was she meant to die since Peter Parker is meant to date and be with Mary Jane? I kinda figured she’d die anyway since her damn daddy flashbacks were everywhere…. that was weird also.
Anyway not much more I can really say about this movie, I am really irritated that two movies in one week could disappoint. First Godzilla then The NOT so Amazing Spider-Man 2. I think I might skip going to the movies for the rest of the summer if this will be the continuing trend.
