I originally saw this “news” story this morning on Faux5 news while getting ready to face another day of necessity at the job.

Atlanta News, Weather, Traffic, and Sports | FOX 5

I have to say I just found it hilarious, I laughed my ass off, especially when the young black kid was taking so much offense to it. Because after having “race related” conversations with a cousin of mine recently, who just graduated high school and moved on to college. Most teens just do not get it, hearing him explain, they use the words with no meaning behind them nonchalantly. I tried to explain the significance of the words use, its derogatory nature etc. He was not trying to hear all that. He was adamant black white, yellow, brown, blue-green, they just ran with it. I am sure these teens did somehow mean well and it was just in reference to the damn Soldier boy / Drake song. I mean shit everyday when i get out of work, I play the song in my car, just grateful I made it through another day at the plantation.
So in some ways I can understand the youthful exuberance of these seniors, however on the flip-side, they are seniors about to graduate and should have fully grasp the fact that it would have been provocation and have some type of repercussions. But what senior prank almost doesn’t these days.
Any way in the wake of Sterling, it will be interesting to see what “punishment” if any is handed down to these students, probably a typical we are not racist yadda yadda yadda, we love black people, I gave one some of my lunch and did their homework couple times.
