Get Out is an upcoming 2017 American horror film directed and written by Jordan Peele. The film stars Catherine Keener, Allison Williams, Daniel Kaluuya, Bradley Whitford, Caleb Landry Jones, Lil Rel Howery, and Keith Stanfield.
Opinion:
Lets me start by saying I’m not a big fan of Jordan Peele, I don’t find him funny, I thought the Comedy Central Keene & Peele show was rather corny, nothing really clever joke-wise, just random cliché bullshit. But clearly millions around the US and World found it funny and the show survived not being canceled for some reason.
That said this movie looks interesting, could be a well-cut trailer. The fact that Peele often celebrates his “bi-racial heritage” it’s somewhat controversial, given the whispers which have erupted when this trailer debuted. Key words being tossed around Racism, Classism and Privilege. I’m sure the, Get Out trailer alone ruffled some feathers in this age of heightened racial tension. Some folks probably decided with a loud groan, they will not be seeing this movie at all, point blank period. But my curious interest is, slightly peeked in this film. Truth is I’ll wait until it comes to DirecTV, before I see it, but I’ll give it a watch. Actually hmmm Keanu is currently on DirecTV and I still have no interest in seeing that, but who knows.
