Though Kevin (James McAvoy) has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley), there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy, The Witch), Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him—as well as everyone around him—as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.
I’m really not a fan of M. Night Shyamalan’s movies, but I have to admit, his people really know how to cut a great trailer to such you in with anticipation. Unfortunately I’ve been sucked in more than enough times to know I’ll just wait for this one to come to directv. The only two movies of M. Night Shyamalan that I enjoyed were Lady in the Water and Signs, but then you had The Village, The Happening, The Last Air Bender and Devil. After all the time I wasted watching those films, some in cinemas I just wanted to find sir M. Knight and kick him in the balls.
