No Arsenal Move for Mario Balotelli
No Arsenal Move for Mario Balotelli
At this time of year, almost religiously I go to the mirror.co.uk/football to check the latest on football transfer news to none other but my club Arsenal. I then cross-reference the plethora of other sites to check who has more relevant info. When it comes to real signings, only the Arsenal site can confirm that.
Today reading this news fills me with so much disappointment, I mean c’mon whatever happened to negotiation, give him that over inflated salary with a clause in the contract on his performance, surely that would be motivation for him to deliver best performance on the pitch. I like Super Mario Balotelli as a player and I think Arsene Wenger is the right coach/manager/mentor to help Balotelli finally get his shit together and be the complete player on and off the pitch he can be. With the signing of Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy, I am pleased; it is a step in the right direction. But with us loosing players to rivals it just seems that we are gearing up for another season of crashing out of the Champions League and then coming close to winning the league title, falling late in the season that fighting for forth again. Ok Bacary Sagna left, his work rate will be missed and to be honest besides Alex Song, he’s the only player to leave to a rival that I have no ill will towards. I respect him and wish him all the best. But how the hell are we selling Thomas Vermaelen to fucking Manchester United and keeping big slow 149 Bus Per Mertesaker, who was the butt of every joke during the world cup?
Arsenal is a special club in the way it grooms players for greatness, buy em cheap, use them, then sell them off or they grow frustrated and leave. The Fa Cup win has energized Arsenal, we fans can all feel it. We can expect the 2014/15 being another season of victory in some capacity, but c’mon for once can we get a giant player?
I don’t know if I am so focused on just Arsenal news that I often miss what is happening with other clubs, but it always seems the headlines is about players will lose out on. One minute we have Sami Khedira fresh off world cup victory. The next he’s being offered to another club. Yes we have a stable of good players, Kieran Gibbs if he gets his weight/strength up, dangerous! Aaron Ramsey is becoming a midfield magician with a keen eye for the back of the onion bag, the beast Jack Wilshere and a player who I really think will surprise everyone this year Theo Walcott I think the birth of his son, will give him the drive to be the super player he has the potential to be. I’m not going to mention the damn team, I think the team is strong, but it’s high time Mr Wenger throws a couple HUGE stars in the mix. Release the damn tight purse strings, splash out a little Balotelli is 23, he will become dangerous and highly feared in front of goal, when he gets his shit together and once again Arsenal would have slept on the potential of greatness.
